The Filberg Festival

The beginning of August signals that time of year; the time for outdoor music festivals, excellent
weather and fresh picked salads tossed with cold-pressed oil ;)

For us here at Ostro-Organics, we head over to Comox on Vancouver Island for our favourite event of the
year; the Filberg Festival hosted on 9 acres of gorgeous oceanfront property.

The Filberg Lodge, built in 1929 is a wonderful wooden cottage featuring hand-finished millwork
and stonework. The extensive grounds host trees of every nut and berry and the gardens
showcase every palette colour in blooms. Yet the most imaginative area of the Filberg Festival is
The Enchanted Garden.

The Enchanted Garden is in a shaded area of the grounds adorned with life-sized mushrooms,
sand pits filled with toys, face painting, storytelling and real life ferries!!

And for those of you kindred spirits out there, the Filberg Festival has 2 music stages featuring
folk, pop, dance and reggae - everything under the sun!

So get your dance on and come visit us and other local food purveyors - along with 100’s of other
regional artists sporting ceramics, textiles, and jewellery.

The Filberg Festival runs from Friday August 2nd to Monday, August 5th in Comox, BC.
